What is GlowBowl & How It Works

What is GlowBowl and how does it work?

GlowBowl is a weekly premium meal plan provider. Instead of shipping frozen food from commercial factories thousands of miles away, our meals are prepared locally and delivered fresh and chilled directly to customer doorsteps.

GlowBowl is a weekly meal subscription. Enter your zip code and let our built-in AI agent know about your taste preferences, wellness goals, and household size, then check out — your first order is charged right away and your card is saved securely on file. Each week after that, handpick your favorite bowls from our rotating fusion menus in your account's selection panel. When you confirm your selection, you'll see the exact amount that will be charged and a button that reads "Charged Friday 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time." That confirmed amount — never more — is what gets automatically charged from your saved card at the weekly cutoff, and your meals arrive fresh on the following delivery day. If you don't confirm a week, nothing is charged and nothing ships. Pausing or canceling takes one click, any time.

How do I check if GlowBowl delivers to my neighborhood?

We currently cook and deliver across the Greater Boston region — 59 towns and counting. Enter the ZIP code on the GlowBowl homepage to see if you are inside our local delivery boundary. The service area is continually expanding. You can manage your delivery address any time in Account → Addresses.

Weekly Orders, Edits, & Account Adjustments

When is the weekly order deadline (cutoff time)?

Our weekly selection cutoff is 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time every Friday, before Sunday delivery. Confirm your meals in your account's selection panel any time before the cutoff — confirming shows you the exact amount that will be charged. At the cutoff, your saved card is automatically charged that confirmed amount and your order is locked in for cooking and delivery. The charge always matches what you confirmed: it is never higher, and if something changes in your favor (like a discount), it can only be the same or lower. If you don't confirm a selection that week, nothing is charged and nothing ships.

What happens if I forget to handpick my meals before the deadline?

If you haven't confirmed your weekly selection by the cutoff, nothing ships that week — and nothing is charged. Auto-pilot ordering, where our AI builds a box around your household's saved preferences when you forget, is on the way; we'll email you before it turns on.

How do I edit, skip, or pause an upcoming delivery?

Life is unpredictable, so we make transitions easy. Log into your account and go to the Orders tab:

  • To change meals: confirm or update your selection any time before the 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time cutoff on Friday, prior to Sunday delivery. Your saved card is only ever charged the amount shown when you confirm.
  • To skip a week: go to Account → Subscription and use "Skip this week" in the Manage your next orders panel — skipped weeks are never charged.
  • To pause long-term: choose "Pause Subscription" to hold deliveries and charges until you're ready — resume any time from the same page, effective immediately.

Note: all changes must be completed before the order cutoff. Once the cutoff passes, your confirmed selection is charged and locked in for cooking — it cannot be canceled or refunded.

How do I change my delivery address?

For future orders: update your address any time in Account → Addresses. The new address is used automatically starting with your next order.

For an order confirmed and charged this week: you can still change the delivery address yourself before Saturday at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time — go to Account → Orders and click "Change delivery address."

After Saturday at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time, our kitchen has already started prepping and labeling that week's orders, so the address can no longer be changed self-service. Reply to your order confirmation email and our team will update it manually if there's still time. Once an order is out for delivery or has already arrived, the address can't be changed.

How do I completely cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your plan at any time from Account → Subscription — cancellation is one click and takes effect immediately, just as easy as signing up. Canceling stops all future weekly selections and charges, but it does not cancel or refund an order that has already been confirmed and charged at the cutoff. Available account credits may be lost after cancellation.

Meals, Nutrition, & Food Safety

What are the portion sizes?

GlowBowl focuses on satisfying, single-serving meals. Every single bowl is crafted to ensure it leaves you feeling energized and filled without any heavy, sluggish aftermath. Exact ingredient ratios vary by recipe. Nutrition information corresponds to the stated serving size.

Where can I find food allergy tracking information?

We believe in full transparency. GlowBowl lists ingredients and relevant allergens. However, GlowBowl does not guarantee an allergen-free cooking environment or the absence of cross-contact. We advise customers with severe food allergies to be cautious about ordering at this time.

Can I customize individual meals for dietary restrictions or allergies?

Customers can set dietary preferences in your profile. Our system will flag matching dishes and dynamically construct your automated boxes to align with your health metrics. However, GlowBowl does not currently customize the ingredients in our prepared meals. If you have hyper-specific, custom requests for an item, you can contact our kitchen team directly prior to the cutoff to see if an alteration can be accommodated.

Delivery, Storage, & Packaging

Do I need to be home to accept my GlowBowl delivery?

No, you do not need to be home. Our meals travel in insulated, food-safe packaging designed to safeguard the cold chain and keep items refrigerated on your doorstep. However, because our food is never frozen or pumped with artificial preservatives, we highly recommend transferring your bowls to a refrigerator as soon as you arrive home.

How long do the meals stay fresh? Can they be frozen?

The refrigerated shelf life is generally four to seven days. Each meal includes a use-by date. Customers should refrigerate meals promptly and follow the date printed on each label.

If you find your schedule shifting and cannot consume a meal in time, you can freeze it to extend its lifespan.

How should the meals be heated?

Each label provides simple, rapid instructions for microwave heating, alongside custom recommended instructions for stovetop or oven prep. If you choose to heat your meals via an oven, toaster oven, or air fryer, please transfer the food from the delivery container into appropriate oven-safe cookware first.

Can customers return or recycle the packaging?

Customers receiving reusable insulated totes may leave eligible bags and undamaged ice packs out for collection with a future delivery. Cardboard boxes may be recycled according to standard local guidelines.
